Foodcommunity awards 2018

Masi Agricola’s  "Masi Wine Experience" project has won a prize at Foodcommunity Awards 2018, dedicated to the best Italian products in the Food & Beverage sector.

Sandro Boscaini and Federico Girotto, respectively President and MD of Masi Agricola, were present to receive the Food & Wine Experience Prize in recognition of the formulation and promotion of the Masi Wine Experience in the territory. The citation is for a programme “of hospitality and culture which includes a tour full of experiences linked to wine” that Masi has developed in a bid to create an ever-closer contact with the final consumer, moving him or her closer to the values of the brand and to the culture of the territory and the world of wine.

This is an award that adds prestige to the Masi Wine Experience, whose next initiative will be to open a new Wine Bar and mono-brand restaurant in Cortina D'Ampezzo in collaboration with the Tofana company. This is the third award for Masi and the Masi Wine Experience. In October, Masi’s Tenuta Canova was given the Hospitality Social Award for the "best social activity by a hospitality structure in Italy", and the Best of Wine Tourism 2018 as an outstanding example of wine tourism that "enhances the economic and cultural heritage of the Verona area.”

"I am very grateful for this further recognition for the Masi Wine Experience initiative, through which we want to communicate the excitement that goes with our wine and our region. Then there is another reason for pride: as an entrepreneur and long-term representative of Confindustria, I am convinced that business in the Veneto is vital for our country and this edition of the Foodcommunity Awards has recognised two milestones of the economy, not only in Verona but throughout Italy: Masi with its Amarone, and Melegatti, the king of Pandoro, with an award to its young manager Denis Moro."

Sandro Boscaini, President of Masi Agricola

"The Masi Wine Experience is part of a fundamental strategy created following the IPO to give new meaning to the Masi brand by making it not only a wine brand but a lifestyle brand, coming into contact more and more directly with the final consumer. The Masi brand has always been linked to the region, as is the soul of the company itself, which has been rooted there for almost 250 years. Today the Masi Wine Experience is a successful business unit that is growing and includes seven locations: the latest is that of Cortina D'Ampezzo, ‘the pearl in the heart of the Dolomites’, where consumers from all over the world will soon be able to get to know the world of Masi up close."

Federico Girotto, Managing Director of Masi Agricola

The Foodcommunity Awards are designed to reward professionals and representatives of business excellence from the world of catering and of Food & Beverage who stand out for the positive performance of their businesses in our country and abroad, and for the creation of value in their region.
