Glamour at the opening of Masi Wine Bar at Cortina

Opened just a week ago, the Wine Bar “Al Druscié” in Cortina is igniting curiosity, the place to be for Ampezzo sports enthusiasts and jet-setters alike. Yesterday at dusk the opening party exuded glamour and elegance: as the ski slopes closed, at 1800 metres, the Masi Wine Bar lit up to the breathtaking backdrop of the Dolomites.

Over 200 guests in "mountain chic" style were welcomed by their hosts Sandro Boscaini, Masi President, and Mario Vascellari of Società la Tofana, raising a glass of Conte Federico Bossi Fedrigotti for an unusual toast by cableway on the way to the Wine Bar.

A welcome which went down very well, to this popular new venue that combines traditional mountain style and refined modernity, DJs and sophisticated music livened up the evening as friends and celebrities from the worlds of entertainment, culture and entrepreneurship partied together, including Lavinia Biagiotti Cigna, Renè Caovilla, Maurizio Corneliani, Gianbattista Tabacchi, Bruno Veronesi and journalists Bruno Vespa and Duilio Giammaria. Representatives of multiple institutions were also present: the Mayor of Cortina Gianpietro Ghedina, the Commissioner for the 2021 Cortina World Championships Luigi Santandrea, and Cortina police commissioner Luigi Petrillo.

The evening reached its peak at the presentation of the risotto all'Amarone, a traditional dish from the Verona region, accompanied by a giant bottle of Costasera Amarone on which the guests left their signature. At the end of the evening, out on the snow, warmed by braziers and a Christmas holiday classic: a glass of mulled Campofiorin.

Upon the traditional cutting of the cake, Sandro Boscaini, thanking those present, commented:

Now Cortina has, in the Al Druscié Masi Wine Bar, a further point of reference in a venue that combines the passion for winter sports and the trendiest lifestyle. The spirit of the Veneto, quality, class and modernity are the characteristics of Masi wines and the Masi Wine Experience initiative, and all of this now awaits in Cortina, the Queen of the Italian Dolomites, with all the warmth and natural elegance of the Amarone."
