An historic vineyard situated in the Torbe suburb of Valpolicella in the district of Negrar, at an altitude of 350-400 m s.l.. South-west facing with a special microclimate and long hours of sun to guarantee excellent ripening conditions for the grapes. Deep soil, rich in schist and humus, covering marly limestone and basaltic tufa from the Eocene era; shored up by typical dry-stone walls (marogne).
The traditional grapes, Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara and Rossignola, make Mezzanella Amandorlato, a particularly complex Recioto with a characteristic almond aftertaste (called "Amandorlato" in Italian) - a real rarity, made in limited quantities and sought after by connoisseurs.
