More than a million viewers saw Sandro Boscaini, President of Federvini and of Masi Agricola, interviewed by journalist Nicola Porro on RAI2’s Virus – Il contagio delle idee (“Virus – how ideas are catching”) programme. Fifteen minutes of lively conversation saw Boscaini act as the spokesman for a territory and its valuable wines, talking about the wider issues of the food production industry as seen from his current position as President of Federvini in a conversation that showed some unexpected personal involvement as well.
“Verona and the Veneto have always been areas for the mass production of wine. But with Amarone we have touched the stars. Its production involves above all an absolute dedication to quality, not just of the product itself but also its promotion and distribution. (…) The territory of production is fundamental; this is the prime factor in its promotion. All wines are good now, the differences lie in the history that a territory can tell.”
