James Suckling, one of the world’s most influential journalists and wine critics, has given yet more high scores to Masi wines. It has already been announced that Amarone Classico Campolongo di Torbe
2009, a top flight cru from the Cantina Privata Boscaini
, had 59th position on his list of the 100 best wines of the world and was the top wine from the Triveneto on the authoritative web portal jamessuckling.com
Now it seems that Suckling’s latest scores give a huge score of 97/100 to Campolongo and propel it into 30th place in the ranking of James Suckling’s Top 100 Italian Wines, still heading the list for the Triveneto. Other Masi Amarones are given exceptionally high scores too: 96/100 for Riserva di Costasera
2011, 95/100 for Vaio Armaron
Serego Alighieri 2009, 94/100 for Mazzano
2009 and Costasera
2011. Completing this very satisfying classification is Brolo Campofiorin Oro
2011 with 92 points, Campofiorin
2012 and Bonacosta
2013 with 91 points.
“This is real recognition for the entire range of Masi wines, which helps to put the Triveneto at the forefront of world winemaking and shows Masi as its worthy representative” comments Raffaele Boscaini,, Masi’s Marketing Director.
