Prestigious accolades for Campolongo di Torbe Amarone Classico
2011 from the Cantina Privata Boscaini
, which earns top marks in four of the most famous national wine guides for 2018.
After the 96/100 in the Daniele Cernilli Doctor Wine Ultimate Guide
, the prestigious label earns the 3-Glasses rating in the Italian Wines 2018 guide from Gambero Rosso
, the Super-3-Star rating from the Veronelli Gold Wine Guide
and the 5-Bunch rating in Bibenda
, published by the Italian Sommelier Foundation, which was also given to the Amarone Riserva di Costasera 2012.
For Sandro Boscaini, president of Masi Agricola: “After the 3 Glasses awarded to the Conte Federico Riserva Brut
2012 Conti Bossi Fedrigotti, we’re proud to bring the red that symbolises Valpolicella into the annals of Italy’s most authoritative guides. The Campolongo di Torbe Amarone and Costasera Riserva Amarone are the most authentic expression of our area and of our company’s expertise in appassimento, the result of qualitative research recognised by the guides, positioning us at the top of the Italian wine rankings.”
The Campolongo di Torbe Amarone, a fine cru, from the historic vineyard of the same name, the qualities of which have been known from as far back as the twelfth century, brings together the best of the land and the attention to quality characteristic of Masi Expertise. This is why it has entered the unique collection of the ‘Cantina Privata Boscaini’, a hoard of ‘liquid treasures’ produced in limited quantities.
The Costasera Riserva Amarone, Masi’s gentle giant and point of reference for the Amarone category, steps forward with pride and exuberance. Here the expert use of the native Valpolicella Classico varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara is enhanced by the presence of the original Oseleta, rediscovered by the Masi Technical Group in the 1980s.
