Italian guides: Masi wines ranked as the best of 2020

A 2019 full of success continues for the Masi Group whose quality of the wines was again recognised by the main 2020 edition Italian guides - who unanimously rewarded the excellent wines of the company led by President Sandro Boscaini, aka Mister Amarone.

The 2012 harvest gave the audience of fans and connoisseurs an Amarone destined to enter the annals: Campolongo di Torbe, a cru produced in the historic vineyard of the same name in the municipality of Negrar, which sees the complete agreement in the judgments obtained by the Gambero Rosso - 3 glasses -, Bibenda - 5 grappoli - and Daniele Cernilli “Doctorwine” with 96/100.

Reconfirmation for the second consecutive year for Canevel in Valdobbiadene: 3 glasses from Gambero Rosso for the Vigneto del Faè 2018, sparkling wine, a zero dosage, from the prestigious Faè cru, immersed in a unique natural setting surrounded by woods, in the middle of the hills recently recognised as a Unesco world heritage site.

History and excellence meet in another great red wine awarded with 5 Bibenda grappoli: Recioto Amandorlato Mezzanella 2013, a pearl produced in limited quantities (1,966 bottles), which is organoleptically positioned between the sweetness of Recioto and the dryness of Amarone and that Masi has turned into a rarity for connoisseurs.

Finally, after the 3 glasses from the 209 edition of Gambero Rosso, the 2013 Amarone Riserva Costasera, will be part of the new edition of the Verona Wine Guide - Top 100 that will be on sale in October with the newspaper L’Arena.
