Masi and Venini present the decanter a tribute to Italian excellence

Masi and Venini were the protagonists of the tenth edition of “La Vendemmia” di MonteNapoleone, the Milanese event that liven up the streets and boutiques of the fashion district from 7 to 13 October 2019. A unique occasion in which luxury brands and the world of wine come together and talk to the public in a party atmosphere.

For this special event, the two symbolic companies of Made in Italy presented a preview of the decanter created exclusively by Venini with the Masi technicians at 10 Via Monte Napoleone: an object of unique design, created to enhance the classical canons of Italian history, handmade in blown glass and embellished with a red drop that symbolises the fine Amarone della Valpolicella.

It is in the manufacturing tradition that wine art and design define a common language, one of passion, uniqueness and excellence, A story that on the occasion of “La Vendemmia" di MonteNapoleone shows off Venini’s creations and the products of the Masi Cellars. Venini’s artworks, along with the Masi Amarone Costasera, become the elements for launching a multisensory experience: the colour, scents and textural quality suggest a journey into Italian know-how and accompany guests in the discovery of this heritage. The slow, controlled processing of the best selected grapes gives rise to wine masterpieces as happens in the Venini furnace, where the skill of master glass-blowers captures the artistic gesture to create unique artifacts”.

Carlo Longagnani, CEO of Venini

Sandro Boscaini, President of Masi Agricola, added:

“Craftsmanship and advanced techniques are the combination that for centuries have characterised and enhanced the tradition of Venetian glass art and the world of enology in the Venetian regions, both the highest expressions of excellence exported all over the world.  The collaboration between Masi and Venini celebrates the ancient synergy between wine and glass, best friends of  Bacchus’ nectar, which has found its irreplaceble “safekeeping” in the bottle. The decanter is an equally fundamental object because, thanks to the oxygenation process, it allows the aromatic profile of structured wines with high aging potential such as Amarone to be captured and appreciated. The refined Venini creation unites fine craftsmanship, design and maximum functionality guaranteed by our technicians, ensuring our Amarone a noteworthy tasting.”

The decanter will be on sale from December at the Venini showrooms and at the Masi shops (here in a special package with Amarone Costasera).
