Masi at the “New York Wine Experience”, the Wine Spectator event

Once again, Masi is amongst the major brands chosen to represent the excellence of wine worldwide. 55 from Italy, 4 Amarone producers

Once again, Masi has been chosen as one of the premium brands to exhibit at the “New York Wine Experience” 41st edition of the event by Wine Spectator, considered the world’s most prestigious, exclusive and sought-after. Three days from 20th to 22nd October at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, just a short walk from Times Square in the very heart of the Big Apple.

The group of more than 250 brands chosen by Critics’ Choice globally see Italy strengthen its role, with 55 representatives almost putting it on a par with France (56).  The lion’s share is played by Piedmont and Tuscany with 9 wines from Triveneto and 4 Amarone wines: Allegrini, Masi, Romano dal Forno and Zenato.

Masi proposes its Campolongo di Torbe 2012, an elegant Amarone cru from the Cantina Privata Boscaini obtained from the vine by the same name, chosen by the journal’s tasters because it is: “a wine that skilfully integrates tannins sculpted with a fragrant range of rich, clay soil, bound amidst a hint of liquorice, dates and aromas and flavours of bay leaf. A vein of intense iron is profoundly rooted in the palate, which emerges to guide the spicy, long-lasting finale”.

Masi will also be amongst the stars of the Critics’ Choice Grand Tasting organised for Thursday and Friday, dedicated to VIPs and fine wine consumers. Two exceptional tasting sessions of more than 200 wines valued with at least 90 points of the very best wine producers and wine-making regions across the globe.

Raffaele Boscaini, Marketing Director and Coordinator of the Technical Group and Federico Girotto, Chief Executive Officer of Masi Agricola, represent the company, declaring: “After the excellent performance by our wines with critics and the 2023 wine guides, first and foremost the Amarone wines, we are proud to have been chosen once again this year and it is particularly meaningful for us to be here on the 250th anniversary of Masi’s very first harvest, sharing this important milestone with the most qualified trade and wine lovers of the whole world. The United States offers a strategic market for the Group and our presence strengthens distribution development, pursued through the collaboration with Santa Margherita USA”.
