Rosa dei Masi 2023

Vinitaly will mark the debut of the Rosa dei Masi 2023. As a result of ongoing research and insights from the Masi Technical Group, the Rosa dei Masi undergoes renewal, aligning with a rapidly evolving and globally growing category. Thanks to a winning combination of factors such as the pleasantness and versatility of the wine, the refinement of the packaging, and exceptional testimonials, today rosé wine is positioned within the lifestyle domain, becoming a true status symbol.

"As a company like ours, it is part of our duties to innovate and develop new products, even by attenuating concepts typically foundational for winemakers such as territory, to focus on quality, sensory experience, and the lifestyle that wine represents,"

Raffaele Boscaini, Marketing Director of Masi

Moxxé del Re: Masi's Metodo Classico sparkling wine from Pinot Nero grapes of Oltrepò Pavese

On the occasion of Vinitaly 2024, Masi presents Moxxé del Re Brut 2020, a Metodo Classico sparkling wine made from Pinot Nero grapes from Oltrepò Pavese DOCG. This wine is born following the acquisition of the "Casa Re" estate in Montecalvo Versiggia (PV), situated in the heart of a region historically renowned for the production of Pinot Nero grapes for sparkling wine base.

"The natural habitat of Masi remains in the Veneto region, but Oltrepò Pavese, the birthplace of Pinot Nero and emblem of Italian Metodo Classico, represents a coherent expansion: with Moxxé del Re, we not only leverage the expertise gained in other sparkling wine expressions of the Group, but also introduce a highly complementary product into our portfolio, in a category for which we foresee a very interesting distributional future,"

Federico Girotto, CEO of Masi

Canevel Unveils the Restyling of Prosecco Superiore DOCG Setàge and Introduces the New San Biagio Brut Nature "sur lies"

Canevel Spumanti, the Valdobbiadene château within the Masi Group, will be showcasing new product innovations at Vinitaly that reaffirm its premium positioning. The revamped Valdobbiadene Prosecco

Superiore DOCG Setàge, a cornerstone of Canevel's production, will be unveiled alongside the new San Biagio Brut Nature Valdobbiadene DOCG.

Specifically, the Canevel Setàge, available in Brut and Extra Dry versions, comes in a new customized and distinctive bottle, both in shape and with American-style packaging featuring the engraved Canevel logo.

Additionally, Canevel's range is enriched by the new San Biagio Brut Nature Valdobbiadene DOCG, made from pure Glera grapes sourced from the hilly vineyards of Valdobbiadene, crafted "sur lies" in accordance with local tradition. The second fermentation, carried out in the bottle, imparts a unique personality to this sparkling wine: San Biagio is characterized by a fine and persistent perlage, a soft and complex taste, a long and savory finish, and, naturally, the visible, palatable, and unmistakable presence of un-disgorged yeast.

San Biagio Brut Nature: a limited edition 'Prosecco with sediment' that expresses the essence of the oenological heritage and winemaking tradition of Valdobbiadene, combining the care, naturalness, and authenticity of yesteryears with a contemporary approach, to achieve an incredibly original tasting experience and a personality tailored for the most discerning palates."

Federico Girotto, President and CEO of Canevel Spumanti

San Biagio Brut Nature will be available for sale starting from July 1, 2024.

Another novelty from Canevel will be the 2023 vintage of Rosa del Faè: a sparkling wine made from pure Marzemino grapes, presented in a transparent champagne-style bottle that enhances its bright pink color even more decisively.

XXXIV MASI SEMINAR: "The Great Crus of Amarone - Horizontal and Vertical Tasting to Discover the Terroirs of Valpolicella and the Effects of Climate Change"

On Monday, April 15th, at 3:00 PM (Tulipano Room - Palaexpo Entrance A1, floor -1), the inevitable appointment with the Masi Technical Group Seminar will take place. This is an opportunity to delve into the theme of the great crus of Amarone with an important horizontal and vertical tasting. Since the 1950s, Masi has been a pioneer in Italy in valorizing the concept of cru, selecting precious vineyards such as Campolongo di Torbe, Mezzanella, and Mazzano, through in-depth pedoclimatic and historical research in Valpolicella Classica.

In parallel, the seminar will address the broader concept of terroir, which refers not only to the soil on which a vineyard is planted but also to the climatic characteristics that affect that portion of the territory and the human factor, with viticultural practices that are the result of history, culture, and tradition, which give distinctive characteristics to the products originating from this specific area. In this context, the third theme, of great relevance, which will be analyzed during the meeting, is that of climate change.

The panel of speakers involved is notable: Sandro Boscaini, President of Masi Agricola; Attilio Scienza - DiSAA University of Milan; Lucio Brancadoro - DiSAA University of Milan; Andrea dal Cin, Technical Director of the Masi Technical Group. Moderating will be Raffaele Boscaini, General Coordinator of the Masi Technical Group.
