Masi Green Governance: Masi adopts Benefit Corporation status

We are pleased to report that Masi Agricola's recent shareholders' meeting has approved the adoption of “Benefit Corporation” status for the company by a large majority. This classification is used for  companies orientated not only towards profit for shareholders, but also towards considerations involving  support for different groups of beneficiaries, such as employees, suppliers, customers, and local institutions.

After 250 harvests, therefore, a way of thinking and acting that has always been part of Masi's DNA has been highlighted, and above all formally institutionalised so that it becomes part of the company's mission: concentrating on environmental and social sustainability, which over the years has been translated into projects of great importance such as "Masi Green", the Masi Foundation, the Masi Technical Group, and the Quality Grapes Club. All these consolidate a modern and responsible supply chain.

"We want to make the company increasingly sensitive to humanity and the locality, as well as increasingly focused on our business and its results, by bringing this heritage of sensitivity, relationships and attitudes into our corporate governance as a forward-looking company, drawing on the most up-to-date models," comments Sandro Boscaini, President of Masi.

The new "Masi Green Governance" sees Masi bring the common good into its corporate mission, highlighting activities linked to social growth, the promotion and enhancement of the artistic and cultural heritage of the Venetian regions, and the care and protection of the environment.
