Masi debuts at TFWA, Cannes

Masi is one of the leading brands to take a starring role at the TFWA (Tax Free World Association) World Exhibition & Conference of Cannes, the international event dedicated to the Duty Free and Travel Retail sectors. In fact, Masi – located in Red Village, K6 – makes its debut at the fair, held in the beautiful setting of the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès on the Croisette at Cannes, as one of the most famous international brands that find their showplace in the ever more important Duty Free sector, in the company of other producers of cosmetics, jewellery, wines and spirits.

In the ‘90s, Masi was one of the first wine producers to use the Duty Free market, and early adoption yielded positive results quickly. Today, Duty Free is one of its principal distribution channels, and is not only valuable for volume of sales, but also because of the high positioning of the brand in a context of international luxury goods.

During the World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes, TFWA has announced Pier Giuseppe Torresani, Sales Managing Director of Masi, to be elected among the 40 Memebers of the new Board and Management Committee.

Over the years, Masi has developed specific products for Duty Free, which starred at the TFWA: Masi Nectar Costasera Amarone Classico, Masi Nectar Campofiorin, and Canevel Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut “Black label”.

Masi Nectar Costasera Amarone Classico: the hillside slopes "coste" that face the sun in the evening "a sera" benefit from the reflections of light and the mild climate of Lake Garda: this is where Masi’s flagship Amarone comes from. Nectar is a particular cuvée, characterized by the skilful use of the appassimento drying technique and by a significant presence of the Corvina grape, considered to be "the nectar of Valpolicella", to confer greater richness of fruit, smoothness and attractiveness.

Masi Nectar Campofiorin: a special cuvée of the famous Campofiorin – the iconic red from this Maison from Verona – encapsulating the personality of the indigenous grapes of the area, Corvina in particular, and the originality of the appassimento drying technique that is Masi’s expertise. Characterized by a significant presence of the Corvina grape, conferring particular smoothness and intense cherry aromas.

Canevel Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG Brut “Black label”: the fruit of Masi’s acquisition of Canevel Spumanti, the winemakers from Valdobbiadene famous for their premium sparkling wines, this is a special release of Prosecco Superiore DOCG brut, Canevel’s benchmark category, for the Duty Free market. Characterized by an intense bouquet of exotic fruits and a particular drive coming from the use of Chardonnay in the blend. Prolonged presence on the lees gives a fine and elegant perlage.
