The authoritative American magazine, Wine Spectator, in particular, has given a score of 95/100 to the 2011 vintage of two crus from the Cantina Privata Boscaini, Mazzano and Campolongo di Torbe, which puts them in the company of the world’s finest wines.
Next, with 94 points, comes Vaio Armaron 2012 from the noble Serego Alighieri house – made with grapes from the eponymous vineyards belonging to direct descendants of the Supreme Poet, Dante. This wine’s 2008 vintage was one of Wine Spectator’s Ten Top Wines of the World. Costasera Riserva 2012 followed with 92 points.
The publishers of the Wine Enthusiast have been no less enthusiastic about Masi’s top Amarones: 94/100 points were given both to Campolongo di Torbe 2011 and to Costasera Riserva 2012.
Sandro Boscaini, President of Masi, comments: “The unanimity of opinion from international critics confirms Masi as the benchmark for quality in the category of top wines made with the Appassimento technique, Masi’s area of expertise. The consistency of these awards, renewed year after year, and the wide number of winning wines, is a tribute to the qualitative achievements of our company.”
