Vineyards in Venetian lands, historic wine-producing estates, native grapes, know-how and taste passed down through the ages. Today, these are the ingredients for authentic wines that speak of the vineyard locations and traditional styles brought up to date by Masi.
A new, rich and fruity red wine with great drinkability. Masi uses a brief application of its speciality Appassimento technique to enhance the characteristics of the indigenous Trentino grape varieties involved: Marzemino and Teroldego.
Grape Varieties Marzemino Gentile, Teroldego
Look: deep purple with violet edges.
Nose: violets and berry fruit with spicy touches of liquorice as a bonus.
Palate: fresh acidity on the palate together with soft and silky tannins. Long finish with fruit and spice aromas.
Good with pork dishes, particularly pasta sauces and sausages. Perfect with the traditional food for the Dolomites region (ham or cheese dumplings, goulash and game).
The high quality Marzemino and Teroldego grapes used in this wine come from the Maso Sant'Antonio estate belonging to the Conti Bossi Fedrigotti family. Facing east, the vineyards benefit particularly from the bright morning sunlight. Using Appaxximento, Masi has created a new style of wine from the Dolomites, giving Marzemino greater structure and Teroldego greater smoothness.
